C1 – Teaching Learning Activity
BULGARIA

Working Day 1: A ceremony was held to initiate the First Learning Mobility of the project. The Principal of the  Secondary School "Acad. Boyan Petkanchin" welcomed the participants. After the ceremony each of the partners from Portugal, Sweden, Bulgaria and Spain presented their project corner, school, city, country. In the afternoon the international group visited the open-air museum of crafts in Etara. A tour guide explained and showed to the participants the peculiarities of the Bulgarian crafts that had developed in the region within the specified historical period leather-processing, carving, weaving etc.
Leaving Etara the group headed for Gabrovo where we visited the House of Humor and Satire. After the completion of the sightseeing of these important for the period historical sites, a discussion was held and the project information was published in different channels online.


Working Day 2: We had organized visits of the Daskalov’s house and the Old School in Tryavna. The participants had the opportunity to experience the typical  atmosphere of the Revival and to understand interesting facts about the education from the historical period included in the project. The Bulgarian students provided information in English language about the various sites, including the Clock Tower in the city center.
At lunch time we visited the old house tavern, where the project participants tasted traditional Bulgarian dishes, got to know how they are prepared and served. So we could make a comparison of food from the past to the present day.
An eTwinning session for the teachers was held in the afternoon while the students had a creative workshop held, entitled "My Feelings in Colors".
The day ended with a play, performed by the Spanish partner, showing the lives of Don Quixote and Sancho Pansa. The show has successfully integrated ICT to intensify its impact. The day's activities were posted online in due course.

Working Day 3: We saw the sights of Veliko Tarnovo, visited the Renaissance Museum and the Constituent Assembly as well  as the Archaeological Museum. All participants had the opportunity to get to know and feel the history and power of the Bulgarian state in the 17th-19th century.
The observations continued in the Samovodska Charshia and the Fortress of Tsarevets. On the way back to Tryavna, the students and their leaders shared their impressions and asked questions related to the history of Bulgaria.
We held our first international evening which was organized by the Portuguese and Bulgarian partners. They presented national traditions, music, dances, food.The impressions of the day were reported in different online media.


Working Day 4: We visited the village of Bozhentsi. The participants analyzed the typical Bulgarian architecture during the Revival period. At noon we headed for Dryanovo and our first visit was to the Bacho Kiro cave. There we got information about the cave itself and about the use of the caves during the 18th-19th century.
Our observations ended with a visit to the Dryanovo Monastery. We held a discussion about the role of the church in Bulgarian society during the Revival period. The impressions of the participants of the day were reflected online.

Working Day 5: Three sessions were held during the day, a KAHOOT  quiz for the students, a puzzle competition, and an international evening where Sweden and Spain presented their countries in a very interesting way.At the first session the participants from Bulgaria made a presentation summarizing the historical aspects of the 17th-19th century. During the second session, the Project Coordinators from Bulgaria, Portugal, Sweden and Spain discussed the forthcoming project activities. During the third session, teachers from partner countries worked on the Mobility Tool + platform.All participants were granted certificates of participation in this educational mobility, signed and stamped by the Principal of the Secondary School "Acad. Boyan Petkanchin".
